Gin gift sets

Hills & Harbour Gin gift set

If you’ve not had the pleasure of trying Hills and Harbour Gin yet you’re missing out (as we found out here in our review). There’s noble fir needles in the botanical mix of this outstanding Scottish Gin from Crafty Distillery. The gift set below includes a 70cl bottle, two branded glasses and serving suggestions. Buy it from Amazon below.

Edinburgh Gin cocktail gift set

We also think that the gin fan in your life would love this cocktail gin gift set from Edinburgh Gin. Alongside a gin cocktail recipe book it contains a 20cl bottle of Edinburgh Gin, a 20cl bottle of Edinburgh Gin Raspberry Liqueur, stainless steel shaker, strainer, bar measure and branded pourer. Click the image below to buy it from 31 Dover.

Ps. we also love Edinburgh Gin so much that we’d very much thank you for this Edinburgh Gin gift set with glasses from Amazon too…

Gin glasses gift set

Another good option on the gift set side is gin glasses. Many gins have their own branded glasses as part of gift sets now (like these for Tanqueray on Amazon or Silent Pool at Master of Malt). However, we also really like unbranded gin glass sets. One of our favourites is the set below, that comes with two 700ml glasses, a rose gold double-sided shot measure and a twisted bar spoon.

Gin botanical sets

Why not give your gin lover the ability to infuse their own gin? There are quite a few different options out there, but we really like this smart set of gin botanicals below. Contained in 12 tins, this botanical set allows you to infuse your own flavours and comes with Pink Peppercorns, Juniper Berries, Cardamom, Dried Orange & Lemon Peel, Lavender, Lemongrass, Coriander, Rose Petals, Cassia, Fennel Seeds, Elderberries and Allspice Berries.

For an even wider range, we also really like the set below from the Gin in a Tin Co. It contains 19 botanicals including all those you might expect plus elderberries, lavender, liquorice, cubebs, apple, ginger and strawberry.

Gin stocking fillers

There are lots of options for gin Santa sacks, but we love the idea of filling up those stockings with gin miniature gifts. Or why not go for a gin miniature gift set? Masons Gin have a great range of gins, so the miniature set below that includes 6 x 5 cl bottles of their Yorkshire gins (including their Original Gin, Tea Edition, Lavender Edition, Peppered Pear Edition, Slow Distilled Sloe Edition and Steve’s Apple Edition) is bound to be a real winner.

Novelty gin gifts

We thought we’d also gather together some of the more unusual gin gifts that we’ve seen. There’s some good secret Santa gin gift ideas here for you too (let’s be honest, doing the office secret Santa is never easy!)

Gin chocolate gifts

The Tipsy Truffles from Hotel Chocolat in the image below are very special. Ok, so it’s not just gin, but we’re not complaining. We’re also big fans of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin, so these Drumshanbo gin chocolates are well worth seeking out!

Gin candles

Four candles? No, gin candles. And just one. We could add a whole list of candles here, but these ones at Amazon, infused with English juniper and Tuscan lemon, really are very nicely scented.

Gin socks

Well, it’s traditional isn’t it! No Christmas gin gift list would be complete without gin socks. The ones below get good reviews, and are nice and fluffy to boot (you can also get socks referring to chocolate, wine, tea and other things too, so no-one needs to be left out!)

Gin aprons

Staying on the clothing theme, there are lots of different gin aprons available too. Are aprons clothing? Anyway, we like the personalisation option on the apron in the image below at Amazon, or try this alternative festive gin apron and oven glove ensemble!

Premium gin gifts

Fancy spending a little more on your gin gift? Well, why not try some of these premium gins or other premium gin gifts. Perhaps you could even give your gin fan their very own copper still!

Premium gins

With so many gins available, picking out a few premium ones is difficult. However, as these are gins for a gift, we think the following are a little bit extra-special:

Monkey 47 Distiller’s Cut is a very special gin that’s released periodically, and each is different. It’s not cheap, but you’re paying for the craft and exclusivity. We found Monkey 47 Distiller’s Cut 2014 for sale here at Master of Malt. We also found the 2015 and 2012.

Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin is a premium gin from Holland that you can now get from Master of Malt here in the UK. We’ve not tried it yet, but it gets rave reviews for its delicate, sweet Turkish Delight notes: there’s peach and rose in the classic botanical list.

Or why not get ahead this Christmas with Gin David? As you can see below, it comes in a striking bottle! It’s a gin with botanicals including lime, angelica and bergamot. Michelangelo’s David sculpture never looked so good. We’ve seen it for sale here at Amazon and here at Master of Malt.

Gin stills

Either as an ornament, or the start of their own gin making adventure (subject to the correct licences, of course!), these copper stills are the perfect gin gift. They look fantastic, and are sure to be a talking point. There’s a large range available, but we bought the one below by Copper Garden ourselves from Amazon so can vouch for the quality.

So that’s our pick of the best Christmas gin gifts available. Hopefully it’s given you some good ideas, but please so share your ideas too!
